Tesamorelin is a 44-amino-acid synthetic analog of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), modified by the addition of a trans-3-hexenoic-acid moiety at the N-terminus. The N-terminal modification confers resistance to dipeptidyl-peptidase-4 (DPP-4) cleavage, producing a substantially longer in-vitro half-life than native GHRH or sermorelin (the GHRH 1-29 fragment) and a distinct receptor-binding-and-release profile.
The 10mg fill supports protocols characterizing GHRH-receptor binding affinity, comparative pharmacokinetic studies against sermorelin and CJC-1295 reference vials, somatotroph cell-line response titration, and method development for stabilized-analog HPLC quantification.
Each vial ships with a lot-matched Certificate of Analysis (HPLC purity >99%, ESI-MS mass confirmation, peptide content, lot date). Store refrigerated at 2–8 °C unreconstituted.
